Terms of use

Effective 2 October 2026

Almanac is a backtesting tool run by Sensibear. By logging in or using Almanac you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Not investment advice

Almanac tests ideas on past market data and reports what happened. It is a research and education tool. It does not tell you what to buy or sell, it does not predict prices, and nothing it shows is a recommendation. Past results don't predict future returns, and a backtest doesn't include every real-world cost. Sensibear is not registered with SEBI as an investment adviser or research analyst. Every trading decision you make is your own, and so is its risk.

Early access

Almanac is in early access. Every new account starts with free credits, and a credit pays for one idea and its first follow-ups. Features, data, credits and prices will change. We may pause or end early access at any time, and we'll tell you before we start charging for anything.

Data and accuracy

Market, calendar, panchang and weather data come from third-party sources and can contain errors, gaps or delays. Weather figures are area averages, not readings from a single gauge. Check anything important for yourself before relying on it. Almanac is provided as it is, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete or always available.

Your account

You log in with your Google account and are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your Google account secure.

Fair use

Please don't:

We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Your questions and reports

What you ask is yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run Almanac for you, and to review it to fix problems and improve the service, as described in the privacy policy. You may use the reports and trade lists you download for your own research.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Sensibear isn't liable for any trading or investment loss, or any indirect loss, that comes from using Almanac or relying on its results. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which during free early access is nothing.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Almanac after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of India.
